The Strandbad Isleten is located approximately 9 km northwest of Altdorf on the Untersee and is very popular with windsurfers as well as enthusiastic lake swimmers. Entry is free and features include a flint beach, grassed areas with shade suitable for sunbathing and picnics and a games area for Frisbee, badminton and other sports. There are toilets, barbeque facilities, a kiosk and a restaurant with terrace. About 2 km north further is Standbad Bauen, another lake bathing spot also with grassed and games areas, but without on-site food outlets
