The National Sports Centre is located on the outskirts of Huttwil, approximately 22 km northeast of Burgdorf. Apart from providing training facilities and a venue for national and international events, such as athletics, football and ice skating and hockey, etc., it is a cultural centre, staging concerts and exhibitions. There is also an internal climbing wall offering about 250 mē of climbing area, 13 metres high, with courses of varying degrees of difficulty. It caters for children, beginners and experts. The centre also has a restaurant which is open to the public
