The Strandbad Hopfräbe is one of a number of swimming spots located on the coastal road (Gersauerstrasse) and is approximately 1.5 km northwest of Brunnen; it is an attractive option for swimming in beautiful Lake Lucerne. Features include a children’s paddling pool, float, grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and a games area for Frisbee, badminton and other sports. Facilities provided include showers and toilets and there is a restaurant. Although lacking the amenities of other areas, this is a peaceful and tranquil place.
