Quite apart from the usual tourist activities on offer, Champéry has a thriving handicrafts industry. There is a bell foundry (see separate entry) and a doll maker who sews bespoke dolls in traditional costumes. Wood carving has long been a skill here. In the Catholic Church, the three dimensional Stations of the Cross were carved by a local artist. The making of coloured glass and lead Tiffany lamps and Tiffany jewellery is another local craft, as is wood-turning and visitors will find many jugs, trays, fruit bowls, cups, goblets and pepper mills on offer.
