The Gruyere Golf Club, located about 16 km southwest of Fribourg, is beside the beautiful Lac de la Gruyère and in a complex which includes the Hotel du Golf de la Gruyère. Founded in 1993, the 18 hole course was designed by Jeremy Pern and, although only 5,508 metres in length, with a par rating of 68, it is a good test of golf. Facilities include a driving range, pitching and putting greens, practice bunker, pro shop, restaurant, swimming pool, sauna and tennis court. Golf clubs, trolleys and carts can be hired.
