First is easily reached by aerial gondola from Grindelwald and has some of the best views in the Bernese Oberland. Its attractions include a snow park, more than 100 km of summer hiking trails and, in winter, 120 km of pistes and hiking/walking trails. The hike to Lake Bachalpsee is popular in any season. The 15 km toboggan run from Faulhorn to Bussalp/Grindelwald is the longest in Europe; it can be reached by a walking trail from First (2168 metres) up to Faulhorn (2681 metres). There is also a summer scooter-bike run from Bort to Grindelwald, paragliding, and much more.
