Located next to the Berne airport at Belp, about 10.5 km southeast of Berne, the Schwimmbad Giessenbad complex offers both river and open-air pool bathing with a full range of facilities. The 50-metres swimmers’ pool is complemented by two non-swimmers’ pools, a diving pool with 1-metre, 3-metre and 5-metre platforms, and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a waterslide, children’s playground, beach volleyball court, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include changing cubicles, showers and toilets. There is a kiosk and a restaurant and fitness classes are available.
