Munchenstein is located approximately 6.5 km southeast of Basel and the Frog Museum there has some 13,600 items which have been collected since 1981. The museum moved to its present building in 1992 and the exhibits, which come from all over the world, are made from a variety of materials, including wood, glass, crystal, silver, porcelain, ceramics, metal, pewter, leather, chocolate, wax, paper, plastic, plush and terracotta. The shapes include cups, jugs, mugs, easter-eggs, christmas-decorations, umbrellas, T-shirts, lamps, shoes, sandals, boots, boxes, jewellery, ties, thimbles, stickers, coin-boxes, watches, clocks, stamps, magnets, lighters, candles, and bottles.
