Fluelen lies approximately 4 km north of Altdorf and the Strandbad Flüelen, which was reconditioned in 1991, offers lake bathing in the Urnesee with a sandy beach and fun for the whole family. Features include an open-air children’s paddling pool, a float, water chute, grassed sunbathing area with shade, a children’s playground and a games area for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis and other sports. There are changing cubicles, showers and toilets, a restaurant and a barbecue area. Loungers and umbrellas can be hired.
