The Chute d’une Météorite is a 1991 sculpture by Denis Guelpa and is located in the Rue de Locarno at its junction with the Boulevard de Pérolles. It is a massive sandstone sculpture, which has four integrated components and really does look as if it has landed from above and conveys a sense of impact. It also bears a resemblance to a giant snail. Denis Guelpa, a trained stonemason, loves to work in local stone but also works in wood, metal and clay.
