The spectacular Engstligen Falls (Engstligen-Wasserfälle) lie south of Andelboden and can be reached by bus, or by foot in about 1.5 hours; in summer they can be viewed from a circular trail. At 600 metres they are the second longest in Switzerland and enjoy protected status. The mountain streams of Engstligenalp join near its northern exit and fall in two stages into the Engstligen valley and form the start of the Engstlige River. The upper fall can be partially seen from the Engstligenalp cable railway, whilst the lower fall can be reached by a mountain path from the lower station.
