Visitors to Engelberg, some 33 km southeast of Lucerne, will enjoy the Sonnenberg combined indoor and open-air swimming complex. Associated with a very large sporting complex, there are swimmers’ pools both internally and externally (50 metres open-air and 25-metres indoors) and both are complemented by children’s paddling pools. Features include grassed sunbathing areas with shade and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, etc. Facilities include changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets. Snacks and refreshments are available from the Sonnenberg bistro.
