The Kappelerhof power station houses a small Electricity Museum with interesting exhibits from the pioneering days of electricity. Intended for those who want to know how electricity was produced, transported and consumed in times gone by, the museum has a collection of historic electrical apparatus from power stations, factories and individual houses. Exhibits include such items as a drained turbine chamber from 1918, a 1925 generator and a wooden cog wheel. The objects give a clear picture of how an early hydroelectric power station worked. Guided tours are available by prior appointment.
