The Romanesque Eglise Saint-Jean-Baptiste dates back to the 11th century and is one of the most beautiful buildings in the region. Unlike Romainmôtier and Payerne, it did not belong to Cluny Abbey, but to one of the other orders, the Abbey at Chaise-Dieu in Auvergne. Although mentioned in 1178, its statute of priory appears in documents only in 1202. The courtyard, located at the south of the church, and the arcades which border it on two sides correspond to the former cloister of the monastery.
