Founded in 1909, the Jurassien Art and History Museum exhibits its collection in five old buildings, which are part of the 18th and 19th century architecture in the heart of the old town of Delémont. The wide ranging permanent exhibition has religious art, artefacts from the Roman sites of Vicques and Ire, fine and graphic arts, furniture, costumes, artisan and industrial implements, documents and much more. The visitor is presented with an interesting overview of Jurassien cultural, social economic and political history. Temporary exhibitions are also staged.
