Situated only 90 minutes from Geneva, Champéry is a wonderful summer and winter destination with a flourishing restaurant scene. Its direct access to Les Portes du Soleil’s incredible network of ski lifts, make Champéry one of the best ski and mountain bike destinations. The village is small enough to be able to walk everywhere. Overlooking Champéry are the stunningly beautiful peaks of Les Dents du Midi. Champéry is one of the oldest resorts in Switzerland, dating back to 1857, and was home to one of the first ever cable cars in 1939. In 1987 the Champéry-Planachaux cable car was built.
