Surrounded by forest, the small, but lovely, Caumasee is located approximately 4 km southeast of Films. Fed by underground sources, the lake has a surface area of about 10 hectares (24.7 acres) with a small central island and the lake swimming is supplemented by a three-metre diving tower and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a children’s playground, a beach volleyball court and grassed sunbathing areas with shade. Facilities provided include changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets and there is a kiosk and a restaurant. Boats, to explore the delightful bays, can be hired, as can loungers.
