The Carouge Museum is located in a stunning Louis XVI-style building dating from 1789, which was once home to a master watchmaker. It has a typically Sardinian garden and is set in a well-preserved district of Carouge. The numerous handicraft shops nearby make the area a pleasant place to visit. The permanent collections consist mainly of earthenware produced by the Carouge factory between 1810 and 1930, Noverraz Art Deco ceramic made between 1930 and 1960, works by contemporary ceramics artists and paintings by Carouge artists of the 20th century.
