The interesting town of Büren an der Aare is located approximately 12 km east of Biel and its Lido is an open-air bathing complex under life guard supervision with good facilities. The 50-metre swimmers’ pool is supplemented by a non-swimmers’ pool, a diving pool with 1-metre and 3-metre platforms and a children’s paddling pool. Other features include a waterslide, children’s playground, beach volleyball court, grassed sunbathing areas with shade and a games area for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include changing cubicles, showers and toilets. There is a barbeque area, kiosk and a restaurant; massage and fitness classes are available.
