Bichelsee is a small lake located approximately 20 km south of Frauenfeld. Strandbad Seelmatten is a beautiful place on Bichelsee to enjoy lake swimming with the advantage of a children’s paddling pool and ample parking. The lake has a maximum length of 475 metres (520 yards) and a surface area of about 0.092 km² (22.75 acres). Features include a one-metre springboard, a float, children’s playground, lawn volleyball court, grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and games areas for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis, etc. Facilities include changing cubicles, showers and toilets. There is a kiosk/restaurant and boats can be hired.
