The Biberstein Bio Bathing Pool is located approximately five km north east of Aarau beside the River Aare. Opened in 2000, the water in the pool is filtered by natural means and not treated with chemicals such as chlorine; the quality is equivalent to tap water and is oxygenated. There is a 20-metre open-air swimming pool and a children’s paddling pool, grassed sunbathing with shade, a games area for Frisbee, badminton, table tennis and other sports. Facilities include changing cubicles, lockers, toilets and showers, a kiosk and a snack bar.
