Bercher is a very attractive village and worthy of a visit. The church is unique in that it is outside of the village, perched on the edge of the plateau that overlooks the Menthue. Its a truly stunning setting, and there is more to see than just the church, which dates back to 1724. From the vicarage and the castle is a magnificent alley of lime trees heading down towards the village. Not to be missed is the steeple (1482), which is adorned with a series of 14 medallions recounting the Passion.
