Champéry is home to Monsieur Jean-Denis Perrin, proprietor and artisan of one of Switzerland’s last remaining bell foundries. Bells have been made in this same workshop, in the same in the traditional way, for more than nine generations. Being one of the last bell founders in Switzerland, Monsieur Perrin is keen to promote this ancient craft and, in his workshop, he has more than twenty different bells moulds into which he pours his secret mix of molten metal. He still creates personalised bells by request for significant events.
