Arosa, some 1,800 metres above sea level and located at the end of the Schanfigg Valley, is not only a winter resort but its imposing mountain landscape makes it a perfect hiking region. There are more than 200 walking, hiking and mountain trails and amongst the most popular are the two hour round trip to the Langwieser Aussicht viewpoint, the 2.2 km Planet Pathway and the Isel natural history footpath, which leads to the Altein Waterfall. Further attractions include the water show and boat trips on the on the Obersee, swimming in the Untersee (see separate entry) and much more.
