The Alpin Garden was developed at the beginning of the 20th century in Meyrin, on the outskirts of Geneva. With over 3,600 species of plants and featuring rock gardens, watercourses, a pool with aquatic plants, pergolas, a rose garden in the shape of a rose, plus a park with goats, chickens and ducks, this is more than just a garden. The Villa is renowned for exhibitions of contemporary art, and the glasshouse is used to promote a whole range of arts, from painting to sculpture and dance to theatre. Many open-air festivities and concerts are organised here during the summer months.
