Aesch lies some 11.5 km south of Basel and the Gartenbad Aesch-Pfeffingen is an open-air bathing complex on a large site. The swimmers’ pool is complemented by a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s paddling pool. Other facilities include a 62.5-metre waterslide, various pool accessories, plenty of grassed areas with shade suitable for both sunbathing and picnics and a games area for Frisbee, badminton and other sports. Facilities include changing cubicles, lockers and toilets. There is a kiosk and a restaurant.
