Adelboden has a fairly recent sponsored discovery trail known as ‘schutz.wald.mensch.’ The trail leads from the Tschenten Alp, accessible by cable-car, down to the village and focuses on the functions of protective forests and their importance in mountain regions. There are eight interactive information points on the way to the village ‘falling rocks’, ‘flooding’, ‘avalanches’, ‘landslides’, ‘forestry’, ‘long-term projects’, ‘taking part’ and ‘forest insights’ and also four visual points. The tourist centre has a leaflet guide to this informative and enjoyable trail.
