The ancient town of Aadorf, which can trace its roots back to the 9th century, is located about 8 km south of Frauenfeld. The town has an indoor swimming pool, the Schwimmhalle Aadorf, in addition to its open-air lido, the Freibad Heidelberg (see separate entry). The indoor pool building is part of the Löhracker Senior school complex and, as it is used by schools, the opening hours to the public are restricted. Intending visitors should check the website or enquire by phone for details. Apart from the swimmers’ pool, the facilities are restricted to changing cubicles, lockers, showers and toilets.
